I. INFORMATION DOCUMENT

The information below will help you get oriented and prepared for our coaching work together. If you have any questions after reading this, please email me or bring them to our first session.

 

Commitment

Coaching provides a structure of support to help you focus on and achieve the outcomes you desire. We co-create an accountability structure that will help you stay on track to get the results you want and live the life you desire.

 

I am committed to supporting you and bringing out your very best to achieve your ideal outcomes. My method involves asking questions to help you focus, learn, prioritize and create momentum to achieve the outcomes you seek. It also involves pointing out potential blind spots, offering guidance where needed, and helping you take action to achieve your goals. The more specific, honest, and open you are with me, the greater value you will receive from our work together.

 

Obviously, the ultimate responsibility of achieving your goals rests with you. Coaching is a very rich and rewarding journey- the more you direct it, and the more committed you are, the more powerful it is.

Remember, everything you share within our coaching relationship is confidential and is a safe place for you to share openly and vulnerably.

 

Resistance to Change

All organisms experience homeostasis, which is the natural tendency to maintain stability and resist change, even when change is beneficial. Similarly, when you commit to making life changes, it’s normal to encounter resistance as your mind and body seek to preserve. This resistance might show up as distraction, fatigue, hesitation to act, self-doubt, or anxiety. Rather than viewing these reactions as setbacks, recognize them as signs that you’re approaching a pivotal moment of growth. Lean into the support of your coach and the coaching process during these challenging times, as pushing through resistance often leads to the most profound breakthroughs.

II. IMMERSION SESSION INSTRUCTIONS & ASSIGNMENTS

In our first session, we will review your business and life to discover and structure your path forward over the following 6 months. During our first session, we will refine your focused outcomes to 1-3 meaningful and impactful Massive Impact Goals (MIGs). It is our intention to create 1-3 MIGs in the Immersion session that will set the foundation of our coaching work together.

 

Note: It is important that you are on time for this session, you make full-time available, and you are in a location that is comfortable, private and free of distraction.

 

In preparation for our coaching work, please complete Sections A-D (below). You should plan for each section to take approximately 15 minutes, or 60 minutes total to complete. 

A. Wheel of Life

This assessment contains 8 areas that comprise a whole life. This exercise measures your level of satisfaction and range of expression in these areas as a snapshot in time. You will likely find areas where you can acknowledge yourself for the success you’ve created, and other areas where you may want to improve your level of satisfaction. 



Please rank each statement on a scale of 1-10. Then total each score.

To get a snapshot of your life:  First, transfer your total scores from the tables above to the Wheel of Life Summary below. Second, calculate the percentage for each area. Third, using that percentage, draw a dot in the respective segment on the Wheel. Finally, connect the dots with a line to create your Wheel of Life.

B. Discovery Questions: 

Your responses to these questions will serve as the foundation for our work together. Please take the time to reflect and answer them thoughtfully and thoroughly. We’ll review your answers during our Immersion Session.

C. Areas of Focus: 

Before our immersion session, please identify and list below 1-3 areas that you want to hold as your primary focus during our coaching.

 

For each focus area, provide a simple heading with a short description. Include your desired outcome, and why it is meaningful for you. Please be specific. (Example: ‘I am fully present with those in my life: I experience one moment at a time and am present with myself and my loved ones in all of our interactions. This enables me to enjoy my family and friends and to have a lot of fun with them.’)
